This transdisciplinary seminar introduced the Comenius Fellowship course, emphasizing the broader significance of play, grammar, educational theories, design strategies, and co-design practices. It also examined how collaborating with younger generations could influence the evolving landscapes of climate transition.
Games serve as tools through which students and children can acquire knowledge, view the world from diverse perspectives, and ultimately envision and reshape the future. They are ‘designed experiences’ that allow players to learn through action and engagement rather than passively absorbing information in conventional educational settings. By taking on various roles and perspectives, the educational experience of play elicits emotions that foster new awareness, cultivate a more complex vision of the future, and guide decision-making.
